TAARU: Open Library - September 2026

​TAARU is a cultural studio preserving and celebrating literary culture through publishing, archive and social gathering.

​Beginning with Motunrayo Ilo's personal archive of magazines, TAARU creates new ways to encounter print: reading the work, understanding the people who make it, and exploring the wider cultural worlds around it.

​The Open Library invites you to immerse yourself in Motunrayo Ilo's personal archive of print magazines, alongside a selection of books brought by guests on the day.

​Spend the afternoon exploring the work of prolific writers, designers, photographers and creatives.

​Browse at your own pace and remain open for conversation.

​Alongside reading, we will be screening a curated selection of fashion shows, interviews and podcasts.

​Tea, coffee and pastries will be provided.
