Omarchy DFW 001: Get Set Up, Show & Tell, and Dig In
**UPDATE: It's been a bit of a hassle to secure a venue but we finally have a really nice one locked down! It will be at The Hub Meeting & Event Venue 25N Coworking Frisco 9355 John W. Elliott Drive Frisco, TX 75033. Once you get there, look for the door with the big orange "25N" circle on it (you can't miss it). There is free parking in front and back of the building, as well as a complimentary parking garage. I'm looking forward to seeing you there!**
Welcome to the first Omarchy meetup in Dallas/Fort Worth! Join local developers, tinkerers, and creatives for an evening of making computers fun again.
This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly gathering. Laptops open (if you can bring one), trading notes, and figuring things out together. Even if you haven't installed Omarchy yet, you belong here.
What we'll do:
Show & Tell: Show off your terminal customizations, agent setups, favorite plugins. A polished PowerPoint deck isn't required. Simply holding up your screen counts as a talk.
Setup Help: Curious but haven't made the jump from Windows, macOS, or other distros? Bring a compatible x86_64 laptop and we'll help you get Omarchy up and running or can help you afterwards. We'll have installation media ready.
Open Session: Config troubleshooting, trading CLI workflows (Claude Code, etc.), and a quick group vote on how we want to structure this meetup going forward.
What to bring:
A laptop and power adapter, if you can bring one but not mandatory
If you're installing: ⚠️ Back up your data completely before you come
An open mind, leave your ego at the door. We are building a space where first-timers ask questions comfortably
