π‘ Catalytic Deep Tech Meetup | Photonics & Semiconductors
β#CatalyticDeepTech is back, and this time we're going down to the wafer level: π£π΅πΌππΌπ»πΆπ°π & π¦π²πΊπΆπ°πΌπ»π±ππ°ππΌπΏπ. π‘π¬
βWe'll open with short talks from people building in the space, then move into a live, open conversation with the room. Expect engineering, not hype: device design, fabrication bottlenecks, packaging and integration, testing, and what it really takes to get from lab prototype to a chip you can manufacture.
βπ€ Speakers:
βπ»George Sidiropoulos, Co-founder of Think Silicon. George built Think Silicon in Patras into a leader in ultra-low-power GPUs for edge and IoT devices, and it was later acquired by Applied Materials, one of the biggest names in semiconductor equipment. Today he angel invests in early-stage startups and mentors young researchers. He knows the full path from a Greek chip design team to a global semiconductor company.
βπ‘ Paolo Fioravanti, CEO of Circuits Integrated Hellas. Paolo leads an Athens-based RFIC design company building RF/mmWave chips for SatCom and next-generation wireless systems. His team launched Kythrionβ’, a Ka-band Antenna-in-Package platform built for AiP/SiP integration of silicon and III-V semiconductors. He brings the view from the front line of advanced packaging and integration.
βπ¬ Theodore Bouloumis, Technical Business Development Engineer at Theon Sensors. Theodore earned his PhD in Physics at OIST in Japan, where he fabricated plasmonic metamaterial nanostructures and built a custom optical tweezers setup. He won the SPIE Optics & Photonics Education Scholarship along the way. Now at Theon, he works where deep photonics research meets real products and customers.
βThis one is built for:
βοΈ Engineers and researchers in photonics, optoelectronics, and semiconductor devices
π§ͺ PhD students and lab teams turning research into hardware
π οΈ Technical founders dealing with fab, integration, or scale-up
βBring the technical question you've been stuck on. The conversation will go as deep as the room takes it.
βLess talking. More building. See you there! π
