Color Hunting + Photography Workshop
We kick off with a beginner-friendly crash course on phone photography, covering composition, lighting, and the small tricks that make a shot land. No experience needed, and no fancy gear required. If you've got a phone, you're ready.
From there, you'll split into teams of four. Each teammate gets assigned a color (red, blue, yellow, or green), and you'll head out into downtown Vancouver to capture your color everywhere it hides: brick, signage, storefronts, reflections, a stranger's jacket. You've got one hour. Then everyone regroups for a review session where we lay the shots side by side and see the whole city rendered as a spectrum!
Introducing: the stamp system 🎟️
Color Hunt is the debut of The Creative Room's year-long stamp system. Earn stamps at events throughout the year, and whoever collects the most by year's end takes home a grand prize (merch pack, gift card, and more). At this event, stamps go to the team with the most photos, plus individual awards for best composition and most creative shot.
