Governed AI in Mission-Driven Organizations: A Working Model

​AI governance is often discussed as policy, principle or compliance. This working session focuses on what happens when governance has to operate inside a real organization.

​How do we use increasingly capable AI while preserving human authority, reliable evidence, institutional memory, privacy, permissions and accountability?

​Matthew Burbidge, founder of Fractal5 Solutions Inc., will walk through a practical governance model connecting intent, evidence, decision, action, telemetry and review.

​The session will explore practical questions including who has authority to decide, which sources should be trusted, where human approval is required, how information boundaries are maintained, how consequential actions are documented, and how an organization can reconstruct why a decision was made.

​No One Left Behind, an initiative of Blue Wave Action Group, will be used as a bounded real-world case study showing what happens when human stories, research, media, community relationships, sensitive information and organizational decisions intersect.

​The closing portion will show Dominion OS™, developed through Fractal5 Solutions, as one bounded implementation of these ideas—demonstrating how governance principles can become practical controls around evidence, institutional memory, authority, workflow and execution.
