Map The Room : A Creative Dinner Social
🧧 A Lunar New Year dinner that plays back the room. 🧧
Late night dim sum. Creative prompts.
Visual puzzles. You answer. The room responds.
What if a room of strangers already had a little context before they started talking? And what if meeting people could feel like a game?
Summary
Usher in the Year of the Horse for an extra festive edition of Map The Room with a family-style feast 🍵, playful visuals 📊, and lateral thinking games 🧩 — all shaped by the people in the room.
Come hungry and curious: discovering patterns, overlaps, and the range of interests in the room is where the fun begins. Across the lightly structured evening, we’ll eat, explore the visuals, and play a couple rounds of creative activities. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of who was in the room and a few threads to follow. 🧵
Note: This is a queer-affirming, inclusive space.
To keep the ambiance intimate, event is capped at 28 guests. 9-10 people max per table.

How it works
You’ll receive a short, playful questionnaire around mid February. ✍️ Your answers to the 12 questions will inform my design of the visual displays, your seating arrangement, puzzle design.
This isn't a "What's your occupation, age" survey nor is it a "Tell me your biggest dreams or fears". The questions revolve around your curiosities and perspectives around scenarios. Fitting with the theme of Lunar New Year, questions will loosely be inspired by theme of celebration, customs, superstitions.
To make sure everything is thoughtfully prepared, there’s a cutoff date for full customization.
