About Event

This series features presentations by capital providers and information about how to access different forms of capital.

The speakers for this event are Andrew Leon Hanna and Anny Dow, cofounders of Mona Ventures. 

Mona is a platform that helps small businesses access capital from mission-driven funders. Andrew is a professor at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and author of “25 Million Sparks: The Untold Story of Refugee Entrepreneurs,” a Financial Times Best Book of the Year.

Anny is a former product leader focused on the intersection of technology and social impact at Headspace, Gusto, and Microsoft.

Each presenter in this series will speak on:

  2. What makes a successful ask for capital.

  3. Examples of success stories.

  4. How to apply or pitch for funds.
