About Event

Join the Global Green-Gray Community of Practice for a knowledge-sharing session on how road infrastructure can be planned, designed, and maintained in closer relationship with the ecosystems around it.

Roads interact with water flows, coastal dynamics, soils, vegetation, communities, and long-term climate risks. This session will explore how green-gray infrastructure approaches can help strengthen climate resilience in road corridors by integrating ecological, engineering, restoration, and policy considerations.

Drawing on practical experiences from Conservation International's teams in Guyana, Mexico, and Brazil, the session will discuss lessons, challenges, and opportunities for scaling green-gray approaches in road and transport systems.

This event is open to practitioners, policymakers, engineers, researchers, project managers, and partner organizations working at the intersection of infrastructure, ecosystem-based adaptation, nature-based solutions, coastal resilience, and climate risk reduction.
