Women Leaders for Climate Finance
On the occasion of UNCCD COP17, hosted in Ulaanbaatar this month, putting Mongolia's climate credibility on the world's stage Women Corporate Directors Mongolia brings together the women architecting the country's climate finance infrastructure: a national carbon registry, Article 6 carbon accounts, and a widening pipeline of DFI-backed green capital. This is the first evening built to put them in one room, on the record, together.
Keynote speakers:
Mayor Purevdagva Byaruuzanyn, Governor of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, opens a keynote on the city's own climate finance ambitions, what UB is building, and what it needs from the private sector to get there.
Angelina Kwan, CEO of Stratford Finance, follows with a keynote on what it takes to move institutional capital into frontier climate markets, drawn from a career spanning global finance and now Mongolia's own carbon economy.
The panel brings together voices who each hold a different lever of the same machine: a Member of Parliament shaping the policy, a Director from the Green Climate Fund controlling access to capital, an advisor to the Governor executing city-level pilots, the Chairwoman of a listed industrial group operating on the ground, and Orda's own CEO building the technology connecting all of them.
