Around the Table: Inspire, Share, Connect
This event is hosted by The Breakthrough Project in partnership with Rossbrook House.
Around the Table is a leadership initiative that brings young post-secondary students and early-career professionals who are Indigenous Guides and Allies, together with youth from grades 6–12 at Rossbrook House for a day of sharing, learning, and connection.
Rather than formal presentations, the event happens around the table. Each Guide hosts a small, hands-on station where youth can explore the tools, skills, and stories that have shaped their journey, whether in trades, technology, arts, business, healthcare, or other paths. These informal stations create space for real conversations and authentic connections.
Event Details:
📅 Wednesday, September 17
🕒 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
📍 Rossbrook House, Winnipeg
The day begins with lunch together from 11:30–12:30, giving Guides and youth a chance to connect before the activities begin. After lunch guides set up at stations from 12:20-2:30 and youth are free to explore stations, try hands-on activities, and hear stories from Guides who’ve been where they are. The afternoon ends in a sharing circle, a space where everyone can reflect and be heard.
Around the Table is guided by Indigenous values of respect, reciprocity, and belonging. It’s about creating a welcoming space where youth can see what’s possible for their future, and where Guides can share their passions in a way that feels natural and relational.
