Solutions Spotlight: From What Works to What’s Next
We know a lot about what’s going wrong with our planet, but have we heard about what's working?
Join us at the Planetary Health Club for a conversation with leaders putting planetary health solutions into practice in radically different ways.
From doctors prescribing time in nature and farmers reimagining the land beneath solar panels, to universities advancing planetary health and governments bringing planetary science directly into decision-making.
Together, we’ll get practical about how good ideas become real-world solutions: What helped them work? What gets in the way of scaling them? And what kinds of partnerships, policies, investment, and leadership can take a promising idea from “this works” to “this is how we do things”?
Featuring:
Dr. Melissa Lem, Co-founder & Director of PaRx, Canada’s national nature prescription program
Rachel Marcus, DrPH, MSc, Executive Director, Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health
Stacie Peterson, Director, American Solar Grazing Association
Luc Bas, Director of Belgium’s Climate Risk Assessment Center (CERAC) and Chief Planetary Officer of Belgium
Jean Oelwang will open the conversation, and Melissa Edberg will moderate, with time for audience questions and informal networking afterward.
Tuesday, September 22 | 2:30–3:30 PM EDT
Planetary Health Club | 15 E. 40th St., New York City
Come for the solutions. Leave with ideas for how we make them bigger.
