Fort Light SF: How to stay sane as a startup leader
Startups are hard and the struggle is REAL.
Early employee leaders pour so much time, energy, and effort into our companies. Juggling it all can feel overwhelming, especially at this moment in time.
The very best leaders know how to support themselves along the journey of company-building. They approach their own well-being as an essential part of the job... and not something extra. Because being in a resourced state makes it possible to perform their best at work.
No one can do this work for us. We have to prioritize it for ourselves. And yet it can be so f-ing hard when we're drowning in to-do's and barely keeping up with our personal lives.
We're carving out an evening to help startup leaders combat the stress! In this gathering, we'll:
Take a rare moment to reflect on how our habits, routines, and choices are serving us (or not!)
Connect with top peers from different functions and startups to trade notes about managing stress and avoiding burnout
Learn from mentors who've been in our shoes and have hard-earned wisdom to share
Engage in a supportive sound bath practice-- to close out the night feeling more regulated, less stressed, and more resourced for the work ahead!
Attendees will be leaders from different functions and companies who care about the human side of company-building and want to grow their leadership skills and impact.
You can expect an engaging, interactive, practical event (and not a passive lecture).
Doors open at 5:30pm, and the program starts at 6:00pm.
Drinks and light bites will be served.
If possible, BRING A YOGA MAT and anything you'd like for the sound bath. Things that might be useful: an eye mask, cozy jacket, small blanket, a travel pillow.
