Design and Ship a Website with Codex (ChatGPT)
Come learn to build with Codex.
I believe learning to build websites and apps with AI is best when a) you know some of the technical basics and b) you are getting your hands dirty while building.
So this is my attempt at putting together a fun workshop that will get you all the way to a published site and actually understand what's going on.
What will we go over?
The basics like "What is a terminal and code editor?", "Should I really use Git and GitHub if I am just making this for myself?", and importantly "How do I make changes without worrying about f***ing it all up?".
I'll explain all of the terminology that goes into building a website. I'll give you tools so Codex can design and build your site for you. And we'll do it all in a way that doesn't look and feel like every other AI-made website out there.
What tools will we use?
Codex in the ChatGPT Desktop app
Paper (for designing your site)
GitHub and Git (for tracking & managing the changes to the code)
Vercel (for publishing your site)
Kit (for connecting a mailing list)
Finally, what are we building?
It's a website where you can publish lists of your favorite things. Think Oprah's favorite things list, but yours. We'll customize it to you and when we are done, you can share it!
And then you can use the same framework to build any other website you've been wanting to build.
Who's running it?
I'm Jeff Buzulencia, founder of Blank Slate Labs, an AI-native product studio. I've spent the last decade building AI products from zero to one, and I host the Product Builders Club online and in NYC.
