A room full of strangers, all reading together. That's a Reading Rave.
About the rave
The quietest rave in town. Same room, same afternoon, everyone with their nose in a book. We say hello, we read, we talk. You go home with some proper me-time, a chapter behind you and a few new names in your phone.
No club, invite or membership needed. We read together for two hours, and you're always welcome to stay longer.
What to expect
Bring whatever you're reading, grab a coffee, and settle in. Say hello to the person next to you, phones go face down and we read together for two hours. Novel, poetry, magazine, study book, audiobook: all reading counts.
When we close our books, we talk. Not about summarising your chapter, but the kind of conversation that happens when there are so many different books on one table. After that we're officially done, but nobody's rushing you out. Keep reading, keep talking, stay as long as you like. Half the room usually stays for one more drink.
Come alone, most people do. Doing a Monthly or Seasonal with us? Check if somebody of the club is in or ask us at check-in: we can point you in the right direction.
Good to know
Club tickets are for everyone in our WhatsApp community, with or without a drink on us. First time with us? Pick the First timer ticket. We're a non-alcoholic club, so we keep it to coffee, tea and something fresh. No refunds, but up to 48 hours before you can pass your seat to a friend or move it to next month via info@herhalfreadbookclub.com.
