About Event

Join leaders from wildfire resilience, forestry, insurance, technology, government, utilities, and community organizations for a full-day field tour showcasing innovative wildfire mitigation and community resilience efforts across Nevada County.

Participants will visit several project sites, including the Nevada County Fairgrounds, Bear-Yuba Land Trust conservation and restoration projects, Lytton Hill fuel reduction efforts, and a fire-adapted housing development. Along the way, attendees will hear directly from local agencies, fire officials, land management organizations, technology providers, insurers, and community leaders working to reduce wildfire risk and strengthen long-term resilience.

Transportation: Round-trip transportation will be provided from Sacramento. Final pick-up location, departure times, and tour logistics will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event. Following the conclusion of the tour and return to downtown Sacramento, transportation will continue to San Francisco for attendees participating in Red Sky Summit on Wednesday, November 4.

Monday Evening Cocktail Reception: Following the tour, attendees are invited to join a hosted networking reception featuring cocktails, light hors d'oeuvres, and opportunities to connect with fellow Resilience Week participants, speakers, community leaders, investors, insurers, technology providers, and public-sector partners.

Overnight Accommodations: Attendees participating in the tours are welcome to stay overnight at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in downtown Sacramento. Hotel details can be found here: https://www.thehotelsawyer.com/. Registered guests who selected hotel accommodations will receive booking and check-in instructions prior to the event.
