AI is no longer just something we experiment with. It is becoming part of how we work, make decisions, deliver services, and remember what happened. But what makes an AI system trustworthy—and who is responsible when it fails?
Hosted by Tech, No?, as part of the London Design Festival, this cross-disciplinary conversation brings together perspectives from people science, public technology, trustworthy digital services, human–AI interaction, and AI product development.
Together, we will explore trust as a system shaped by data, decisions, interfaces, organisations, accountability, and human judgement. We will ask how people develop confidence in AI at work, how public-facing services communicate uncertainty, how organisations introduce AI responsibly, and what should remain visible, contestable, and human when intelligent systems begin to recommend, remember, or act on our behalf.
Expect a thoughtful panel discussion, audience Q&A, and relaxed networking with technologists, founders, researchers, designers, public-sector practitioners, and curious cross-disciplinary people.

Jose Carlos Alatrista — former Head of People Science, Barclays, organisational Agentic & AI Adoption Advisor
Jose has over 15 years of experience building people analytics and people science functions. In the past two years, he has increasingly focused on AI adoption in large corporate settings, working with Microsoft 365 Copilot and gaining hands-on experience across agentic AI tools including Claude Code, Codex, and Copilot Studio.
