Conforma Paris Design Week Takeover at Factory
For five days in September, Conforma sets up on the mezzanine at Espace Commines. Paris Design Week Factory runs through the building from the 10th to the 14th; upstairs, the magazine keeps its own hours, 10am to 7pm, daily.
Conforma publishes once a year in hardcover. That pace allows essays room to think, photography room to breathe, and design and architecture treated as subjects worth an argument rather than a caption. Paris supplies the counterweight: readers in the room, pages turned by hand, questions answered on the spot.
The mezzanine runs a continuous soundscape across all five days, composed for the room and playing from open to close. Copies of the volume are available to read on site and to buy.
