We are pleased to announce the Ase Community Foundation's 6th Annual Town Hall: Voices of Blackness and Disability
DATE: June 6, 2025
TIME: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (EST)
HYBRID LOCATION: 108 College St, Toronto, ON M5G 0C6
The Ase Community Foundation Annual Town Hall is a national gathering that brings together Black disabled people, community leaders, advocates, policymakers, service providers, and allies to explore pressing issues at the intersection of race, disability, and economic justice.
This year's theme; Advancing Economic Inclusion with Black Disabled Canadians centers the leadership, resistance, and expertise of Black disabled Canadians while examining the systemic economic barriers that continue to shape access to employment, entrepreneurship, wealth-building, and financial security.
Through a keynote address, panel dialogue, and interactive breakout sessions, participants will explore the structural roots of economic injustice and identify pathways toward greater financial empowerment, policy change, and community-led solutions.
American Sign Language interpretation will be available.
This is a hybrid event — join us in person in Toronto or attend virtually from anywhere in Canada.
