A Very Autumnal Reading
Did you get food poisoning at your Friendsgiving potluck last year? Caught trying to pass off a frozen pumpkin pie for a homemade one? Super into rare apple varieties? Get broken up with dressed up as a slutty cosmic brownie? Have a rotting Jack-O-Lantern that’s sustaining an entire rat colony?
Join us on 11/15 for an afternoon of autumnal readings, coffee, tea, cake, giveaways, and gifts. The event itself is both open to readers and listeners! We’d love to see you both.
We want to hear it all. We’re looking for personal essays, flash fiction pieces, and poems with distinctly autumnal food themes that speak directly to the season. Pitches don’t all have to have a strong attachment to food, but use it as a through line or starting point to tell a broader story.
Submit pitches and drafts through this form. Chosen pieces will be edited and read on 11/15 at KRU and given an honorarium for reading. 🍁
Tickets available below.
