🔗 Bitcoin Blocks & Mining: A Beginner-Friendly Deep Dive

Curious about how Bitcoin actually works under the hood? You've probably heard terms like blocks, mining, hashes, and Merkle trees—but what do they really mean?

Join us for an interactive beginner-friendly session where we'll break down Bitcoin's core building blocks using simple explanations, visuals, and hands-on activities. No prior blockchain knowledge is required—just curiosity!

What we'll explore

🧩 The Mystery of the Genesis Block
Discover the story behind Bitcoin's very first block and why it's still one of the most fascinating pieces of blockchain history.

⛓️ What's Inside a Bitcoin Block?
Learn what a block actually contains and why every field plays an important role in securing the network.

💸 How Bitcoin Transactions Work
Understand how Bitcoin prevents double-spending and why transactions can't simply be copied, forged, or altered.

🌳 Build a Merkle Tree Together
We'll create a Merkle Tree through an interactive activity to see how thousands of transactions can be verified efficiently.

⛏️ What Miners Really Do
Go beyond the myths of "creating coins" and learn about Proof of Work, hashing, mining, and why the nonce exists.

🌐 How Bitcoin Reaches Consensus
See how thousands of independent nodes agree on a single version of history—without trusting one another.

🔍 From Learning to Contributing
We'll wrap up by connecting these concepts to Bitcoin's open-source codebase and explore beginner-friendly ways to start contributing to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

👥 Who should attend?

  • Students and developers curious about Bitcoin

  • Open-source enthusiasts

  • Anyone interested in blockchain fundamentals

  • Complete beginners—no prior experience required!

Just your Curiosity matters no other factor(Age, gender, Technical knowledge, etc), come with questions, leave with a solid mental model of how Bitcoin works from the inside out.

Learn. Build. Explore Bitcoin—one block at a time. 🚀

NOTE: This session will be much more joyful with Laptop, if it's not possible don't worry
