​AI is changing the economics of technology. Costs are shifting from predictable licences and infrastructure to consumption-based models shaped by tokens, compute, data volumes and embedded AI services. The session will examine where these costs arise, how they scale and why traditional technology budgets may no longer tell the full story.

​The economics of AI also extend beyond technology. As AI changes roles, skills and how work is organised, leaders must make deliberate choices about where to automate, where to augment human capability and how to prepare the workforce for what follows.

​This will be a grounded and important discussion about the true cost of AI, from cloud consumption and data quality to governance, workforce readiness and measurable business value. Participants will leave with a clearer view of what to question, what to measure and how to make better-informed AI investment decisions.
