We're delighted to announce that this month's speaker is Michael O'brien, MD
Dr. O'brien is a Yale trained internist and founder of Home Visit Medical, the fastest growing physician house calls practice in the Philadelphia metro. With a mission to help Philly area adults stay safely in their own homes as long as they wish, Dr. O'brien and team practice comprehensive home-based primary care and chronic care management.
Dr. O will be presenting “Low tech up front, High tech in back,” detailing how a Marcus Welby type doctor comes to your house and doesn’t even have a laptop. His members sign a paper and pencil consent and can call the office and get a human on the phone.
At the same time, the good doctor and team:
- Use an AI scribe on their phones that writes the whole note
- Vibe coded their own care coordination platform
- Combine Google and EMR outputs to map and route their house calls and
- Scan and leverage ML on all hospital records to summarize key concepts from massive documents
Dr. O'brien's career is a blend of corporate and entrepreneurial, and his mastery of value based care concepts takes flight in this human-centered, tech-enabled venture.
