Hey there 👋,
Wow! We were absolutely blown away by the turn out, big smiles and feel good vibes for the first Date My Mate event! Thank you to everyone who came down!
& guess what it worked! We have several confirmed post-event dates & matches - Some from the crowds, some from the stage, some from people recognising the pitchies from the IG recap video (yes this did happen).
So after popular demand, Date My Mate is back, with a few tweaks to make it even better this time around.

Show Collingwood why your Mate is too good to be single. This is your moment. Grab a “Wingmaster Ticket” and put together a short, 5-slide PowerPoint that shows the world why your mate shouldn't be single.
🤍 The 'Mates'
You're the evenings “spotlight” without the stage fright. All you need to do is show up, grab a drink, and try not to blush as your Wingmaster demos the ultimate live dating profile.
😎 The Crowd / Hype Squad
Single or not, you’re in. Play your role as hype squad, future dating prospect or even a combination of both. There will be subtle and not-so-subtle ways to express your interest or pass on your details to anyone you find intriguing on the night.

If you've been to the infamous Trivia night at Near and Far Fitzroy, then you'll know Quizmaster Matt.

Date: Thursday, 5th February 2026
Time: 7:00 PM – Late
Location: The Taproom at Molly Rose Brewery, Collingwood
Tickets:
Audience 🎟️ $10 – This is a 2x person ticket. This ticket is for you and a mate who’s interested in the opposite gender. This helps us keep the crowd balanced and pro-mingling 💘
Wingmaster (pitcher) Audience 🎟️ $50 – Put together a short, 5-slide PowerPoint that shows the world why your mate shouldn't be single. A free drink will also be included in your ticket. Keep reading to learn more.
Want to Pitch Your Mate?
Wingmaster spots are limited. To make sure we’ve got a great mix of pitches, you’ll need to apply first.
How it works:
Purchase a Wingmaster ticket (the money will not be taken until you pitching place has been confirmed on the 26th January).
You’ll receive a quick application form asking you to send us a short elevator pitch about your friend.
We’ll review and confirm pitching spots (We have 8 spots available!)
Final presentations submitted to us the night before.
Your ticket includes a free drink that can be redeemed on the night
What’s new this time around?
A more balanced crowd/audience - all audience tickets includes 2 tickets, one for you and one for a mate who is interested in the opposite sex.
