FinOps and AI Economics Event
FinOps for AI: From Tokens to Total Cost of AI
One prompt, one answer, one predictable cost. That era is ending.
AI is moving from single prompts to autonomous agents that plan, call tools, trigger other agents and loop until the job is done. Add token-based pricing, Copilot and AI licenses on top of your cloud bill, and a simple question becomes surprisingly hard to answer: what does AI actually cost us, and what business value is it generating?
Join us for a morning of practical sessions on bringing financial control to AI, from the true cost of AI to agentic workloads and enterprise-wide FinOps.
Total Cost of AI, beyond the token bill
Token spend is only part of the picture. Based on real customer examples, we'll look at both token consumption and AI license costs to build a complete view of the Total Cost of AI (TCA), so you know what you're really paying for and where the money goes.
Speaker: Bjørn Sigurd Hove, Lead Architect, Vivicta AS
FinOps for Agentic AI
Traditional FinOps wasn't built for autonomous, multi-step agents. This session unpacks why agentic AI breaks conventional cost attribution and budgeting, and introduces cost per action and cost per outcome as new unit economics. You'll learn how FinOps, engineering and platform teams can build governance guardrails together, and leave with a practical framework for extending FinOps to agentic workloads.
Speaker: Sonal Gupta, founder and CEO, MitraNord AS
Sneak preview of what's coming out at Ignite around FinOps for AI and new capabilities - Microsoft
AI FinOps is moving from showing what AI consumed to helping organizations govern what AI costs and whether it is worth funding. Today, the controls and data exist across Microsoft 365, Azure, Foundry and GitHub, but they remain fragmented. What is coming is better APIs, cross-platform attribution, forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization recommendations, and stronger links between spend and outcomes. The goal is not another token dashboard. It is controlled, attributable, and evidence-backed AI-investment. Speaker: Zackery Olinske, Ent. Cloud Solution Architect & Tim Ervik, Ent. AI Business Process Lead, Microsoft Norway
