Confessions of a Pilot: How to Fly Better in a Climate Crisis - By Bumprints
Forget your carbon footprint - joint Captain Katie to talk about your Carbon Bumprint: the true impact of sitting in that airplane seat. Bumprints is a UK based charity helping air passengers understand and reduce their impact while flying. Our message is simple: when you have to travel, do it mindfully, we all need to fly less, and fly green. Behind it sits a bigger goal; when passengers start asking sharper questions and making better choices, the airline industry gets the signal it needs to take aviation’s climate action seriously.
Come join us to learn about:
The real environmental price of flying
Greenwashing and lobbying vs scientific reality
The aviation industry’s response to the climate crisis
What you can do as a concerned citizen
Identifying the actions available today
Providing tools and resources to help passengers understand all the ways to minimize the climate impact of essential flights.
