Hobbit Hike: Hoover Dam Lodge Trail & Historic Railroad Trail

​Grab your garb and join the Hobbit Hike – a fun, nerdy day on the trail where we’ll walk like the Fellowship in Renfaire costumes! Meet fellow nerds, enjoy some fresh air, and add a bit of Middle-earth magic to your hike.

​We are ending the hike at the rest stop location- we are NOT going all the way to the Hoover Dam!

​​​​Trail: Lone Mountain Outer Rim Loop

​​​​ Trail length: 2.5 hours

​​​​ Difficulty: Easy

​​​​🏔️Requirements: Please bring hiking shoes.

​​🏔️Outfits: Fantasy/DnD/LoTR costumes encouraged!

​​​​Please eat beforehand so you don’t get tired!

​​Please Bring:

​​​​1. Water: At least 2-3 liters to stay hydrated in the desert heat.

​​​​2. Snacks: High-energy snacks like protein bars, nuts, or fruit.

​​​​3. Hiking shoes: Sturdy shoes with good grip for rocky terrain.

​​​​4. Sun protection

​​​​5. Comfortable clothing: Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothes, plus a jacket if it’s chilly.

​​​​6. Backpack: To carry your items and keep your hands free.

​​​​7. Navigation tools: Phone with maps, or GPS (optional but helpful).

​​​​8. First-aid kit: Basic items like band-aids, pain relievers, and blister treatment.

​​​​9. Trekking poles: Optional, but helpful for stability.

​​​​10. Camera/Phone: To capture the amazing views!
