About Event

The Infrastructure of AI: Beyond Software – Building the Physical World Behind Artificial Intelligence explores what it actually takes to create an AI-ready city.

Using Newark, New Jersey as the case study, this panel moves the AI conversation beyond software and examines the physical systems that make artificial intelligence possible: fiber and broadband, telecommunications, low-voltage infrastructure, networks, power, AI-enabled cameras and sensors, edge computing, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and smart buildings.

Leaders representing Newark’s broadband, municipal technology, economic development and physical technology infrastructure will discuss what Newark already has, what infrastructure will be required next, how these systems converge, and how local businesses and workers can participate in the emerging AI infrastructure economy.

Location

1st Floor - The Perry Theatre Enter the WEC via the Warren Street glass doors near Lock Street. Walk straight down the indoor corridor into the Main Atrium, then pass through security check-in. Follow the first-floor concourse wrapping around the arena. Look for signs for the Marjorie A. Perry Theatre—it is right on this level.
