​Nick previously co-founded and served as CEO of Protenus, a Baltimore-based AI company focused on healthcare compliance and risk reduction. Under his leadership, Protenus became an industry leader before its acquisition. Nick also served as Managing Director of TechStars AI Health Baltimore, where he remains an EIR while he is pursuing a new venture. Prior to founding Protenus, Nick earned his BS and attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University, and served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret.

​Drawing on his experience as a founder and operator at the intersection of science, technology, and venture, Nick will share his journey as a serial co-founder and reflect on the evolution of Baltimore’s life sciences ecosystem.
