An UNMUTED Dialogue: Who Gets to Be in America?
Great, got everything I need. Here's a Luma event description:
An UNMUTED Dialogue: Immigration's Path Forward
Immigration is one of the most contested issues in American politics — but what does a realistic path forward actually look like? Join UNMUTED for an evening of substantive, cross-partisan dialogue featuring two leading voices on immigration policy:
Daniel Di Martino — Manhattan Institute Fellow and PhD candidate in Economics at Columbia University. Born and raised in Venezuela, Di Martino's research focuses on high-skilled immigration, immigrant assimilation, and the fiscal impact of immigration policy. He has been featured on Fox News, CNN, and in USA Today, National Review, and the New York Post.
Muzaffar Chishti — Senior Fellow at the Migration Policy Institute and Director of MPI's office at NYU School of Law. A nationally recognized expert on U.S. immigration law and policy, Chishti has testified extensively before Congress and is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the USCIS Outstanding American by Choice recognition.
The evening kicks off with a moderated discussion between our two experts, followed by 25-minute small group discussions where you'll dig into the issues with fellow attendees. We close with an open mic for the full room, then head to a nearby bar to keep the conversation going.
Open bar included with your ticket.
