The Book Club: April
For the next book club, we will be reading Mythos by the well-known English comedian Stephen Fry. We will embrace some culture fusion - Greek food and mythology and SAUNA!
The details:
When: Saturday 11 April, 2-4pm
Where: Uusi Sauna, Välimerenkatu 10, 00220 Helsinki, Finland
What it included & how it will work: we will enjoy Greek food, meet new people, discuss the book and those that want to stay for a sauna will get 50% off sauna.
Who should attend: everyone is welcome and we have the discussions in English.
What to bring: if you want to join for a sauna you can bring your own towel, robe etc. or there are some for rent as well. Please feel free to bring your own questions too.
What we will eat:
• Dolma (vine leaves filled with herbed rice)
• Tzatziki (Greek yogurt, cucumber and garlic dip)
• Fava (a smooth yellow split pea purée with olive oil and lemon — a traditional Greek meze)
• Greek olives
• One selected cheese
• Bread
Aino Mavrigiannakis is the founder of Ataraxia life , a Helsinki-based food project exploring Greek food culture beyond clichés. Through meze, curated ingredients and carefully designed gatherings, she creates experiences that sit somewhere between food, culture and hospitality — inviting people to slow down, taste more deeply and see Greece through a contemporary lens.
