so we would be kidding ourselves if we didn't host an overnight space for creatives, curious people, and anyone working on dreams, passions, and 2am ideas of their own.

we're hosting a chill little work club for people making things, figuring things out, or just wanting to be around other creative humans. bring your laptop, sketchbook, project, rabbit hole, or unfinished whatever and come make things together.

this is not really a hangout space - although you’ll probably meet people here
its a space to genuinely explore and express the things you care about. and even though there's no expectation that you have something done in the morning, take the space to move toward making something
FAQs
1) why 2am?
because some ideas only seem to appear when you’re supposed to be sleeping. and we believe those ideas are worth taking seriously
2) what counts as an “idea”?
anything you’re curious enough to spend time on. it doesn’t need to be a startup. it doesn’t need to be useful. it doesn’t need to make money. it doesn’t even need to make sense yet.
what if my idea is stupid? Good.
3) do i need an idea to join?
definitely not. come with a half-formed idea, a vague itch, or simply something you’ve been wanting to explore. BUT you should come intending to work on something, rather than just hang out.
4) will there be networking?
not really. nothing more than being in the same room with people for a number of hours.
you are welcome to come by yourself, just expect to meet awesomely creative people
5) do I have to stay until 2am / overnight?
nope 2am is a spirit, not a minimum attendance requirement. come when you can, leave when you'd like, or accidentally see the sunrise.

6) can I sleep there?
yes you can but there are no beds nor a designated quiet zone.
7) food and drink options?
there is water and a small pantry (pay per item). no food provided
nearby, prata is 24hr and downstairs there's a coffee shop that opens standard hours
8) what should i bring?
whatever you need to work on your thing. Laptop, sketchbook, camera, notebook, instruments, craft supplies, etc. If it’s something large, messy, loud, or potentially dangerous, check with us first.

9) are there powerpoints?
yes
10) dress code?
nope, though comfy is recommended. best dressed is gonna be by democratic vote

what is fireplace
we're a creative movement for people to come alive again.
we’re (trying to) build an ecosystem to fuel people’s ideas esp the ones that are day 0 and “in-the-middle”. like esp also when its at the stage where we're still figuring out what shape it'll take or what it is and we sound a bit crazy weird talking about it
we believe everyone is made for more than the 4 walls the society puts on us. and we’re here to give people a space to dream and create whatever the want to create.
from hosting 2am ideas club, creative sprints and ideas fests for all idea domains, our hope is that by supporting day 0 ideas and passions better — we can rewrite the rules of how we live.
