Welcome to Uncommon Club

Uncommon Club runs curated experiences across Berlin that invite you to step out of autopilot and into something new.

This session

Location: Theatre Pool, Friedrichshain (Google Maps)
Language: English

Group size: ~30 people
Age range: ~25-40

Uncommon Factor: 🟣🟣🟣
Hints: Curiosity & Awareness

Facilitator: Surprise (read more below)
Event Manager: Jonel Timbergen (say hi on Instagram)

Get out of your head and into your body.

This experience invites you to step away from thinking, planning, and deciding, and into a space where movement becomes a way of listening. Rather than aiming for a result, you’re invited to follow curiosity, tune into sensation, and notice what emerges when intention softens.

The exact form remains a surprise, shaped by the group, the space, and the moment. What’s certain is a carefully held environment that feels spacious, grounded, and open to exploration. Without pressure to perform or get anything “right.”

Sessions can feel playful, meditative, grounding, or unexpectedly surreal. What unfolds is different each time, offering room to experiment, expand your creative range, and connect to yourself and to those you move alongside.

No prior experience is needed. Participation is always self-paced, with space to observe, rest, or join in as feels right.

Today's guide

This session is guided by a Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist and facilitator, and former TEDx speaker, who designs immersive experiences rooted in presence, connection, and embodied inquiry.

Drawing from years of work across performance, art, and experience design, their practice focuses on creating spaces that feel both carefully held and open-ended.

Practical notes

  • Clothing: Comfortable clothing recommended. We’ll be indoors; bring a warm layer.

  • Beverages: Light beverages provided (please eat beforehand). You might want to bring your own water bottle. Strictly no alcohol allowed.

  • Health & pregnancy: Any involved movement is gentle and voluntary.

  • Accessibility: Ground floor, wheelchair accessible.

  • Bring a +1: You can purchase a ticket for friends via Luma or they can book their own ticket separately.

Compatibility

This session is for you, if you ...

  • are curious about exploring movement as sensation rather than performance

  • enjoy open-ended experiences that invite experimentation over instruction

  • feel comfortable following impulses and noticing what your body responds to

  • appreciate a calm, spacious environment with gentle guidance

  • like easing into group settings at your own pace

No experience needed. Participation is always voluntary.

What others said about similar sessions

“I felt held without being directed. There was space to explore, pause, and simply notice what was happening. And somehow that made it feel very human and real.”

Cancellation, reimbursement & flexibility

We want booking an Uncommon Club session to feel easy, human and low-risk.

  • You can cancel or transfer your ticket up to 48 hours before the session for a full refund.

  • If something unexpected comes up closer to the date, reach out, we’ll always aim to find a fair solution.

  • If we can reassign your spot to someone on the waitlist, we’re happy to refund you.

If you join a session and need to step out early for a serious or personal reason, please let one of the facilitators or our empathy angel know. In such cases, we’re open to reimbursing your ticket, even after the session has started.

Uncommon Club is built on trust, care and self-responsibility.

What is Uncommon Club?

Uncommon Club creates guided group sessions built around shared novelty, doing something unfamiliar together, in a way that feels safe, human, and intentional.

We believe that when people step into a new experience at the same time, without knowing exactly what will happen, habits soften, curiosity opens, and connection becomes more natural.

That’s why Uncommon Club sessions are:

  • carefully guided and consent-led,

  • designed around presence rather than performance,

  • and kept partly a surprise.

Not to confuse you, but to meet you before autopilot takes over.

What Uncommon Club is, and isn’t

Uncommon Club is:

  • ✅ A guided, facilitator-led group experience

  • ✅ Focused on curiosity, embodiment, and human connection

  • ✅ Structured, consent-led, and psychologically safe

Uncommon Club is not:

  • ❌ A party or club night

  • ❌ An intense fitness class

  • ❌ A networking event

  • ❌ A sexual setting

  • ❌ Therapy, counselling, or treatment

How our sessions work

Every Uncommon Club session is carefully guided and unfolds in phases

Phase 1️⃣ — Arrival
Arrive, settle, and land in the space and group.

Phase 2️⃣ — Warm-up
Gentle invitations help you arrive in your body and the moment.

Phase 3️⃣ — Exploration (Core Experience)
The heart of the session. Playful, embodied and surprising.

Phase 4️⃣ — Reflection
We slow things down and let the experience settle.

Phase 5️⃣ — Closing & Connection
A clear closing moment, with space to linger.. or leave quietly.
