About Event

Join us for the first OpenShell community meetup, organized by volunteers for builders, users and anyone curious about agent runtimes.

OpenShell is an open source agent runtime launched and maintained by Nvidia, co-developed with Red Hat and other community contributors. The project recently applied to join the CNCF Sandbox. We think it has a real shot at becoming the standard open source runtime for agents.

This is our first opportunity to bring the people building OpenShell and the people using it together in person. Come hear directly from the project leads, see how it’s being used at Mirantis, and compare notes with others working on agents. No prior OpenShell experience needed.

5:30–6:00 PM · Meet and greet

Snacks, drinks and time to meet people before the talks.

6:00–6:30 PM · OpenShell and NemoClaw: Origin story, use cases, and roadmap

Aaron Erickson (NemoClaw lead) and Jim Meyer(OpenShell) from Nvidia will cover how the projects started, what people are using them for and what’s coming next. They’ll also explain how NemoClaw uses OpenShell, its role as a reference implementation, and the work to bring OpenShell’s secure runtime to popular open source agent harnesses.

6:30–7:00 PM · Using OpenShell to help build k0rdent AI

Boris Renski will share how Mirantis uses OpenShell to run agents embedded in the software development lifecycle, helping engineering teams build k0rdent AI faster.

7:00–7:30 PM · Hang out and mingle

Time to continue the conversation, ask questions and connect with people from the CNCF and OpenShell communities.
