About Event

Kentuckiana is one of the clearest examples of the Technician Economy in action.

Unmudl and Amatrol invite you to join the Kentuckiana Technician Roundtable, a working session with select Kentuckiana employers, technical leaders, and regional partners focused on the technician capacity required to power the region’s next stage of industrial growth.

Doors Open with Breakfast: 9:15 AM
Technician Roundtable: 9:30–11:00 AM
Amatrol Tour: 11:15 AM–12:00 noon

Across manufacturing, logistics, automation, data centers, advanced equipment, infrastructure operations, and industrial systems, companies are facing the same question:

How do we build the technician capacity needed to deploy, operate, maintain, and scale modern systems?

Within roughly 30 miles of Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana operate as one connected industrial corridor. The Louisville/Jefferson County, KY-IN labor market includes approximately 710,000 total nonfarm jobs and more than 80,000 manufacturing jobs. Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and Bowman Field are major economic engines, generating approximately $12.8 billion in annual economic output and supporting nearly 90,000 direct and indirect jobs. At the center of this system is UPS Worldport, UPS’s largest package-handling facility and global air hub, with more than 20,000 UPSers in the Louisville region.

Behind these numbers is a practical operating reality: Kentuckiana needs technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize the systems that power air cargo, production, logistics, mobility, healthcare technology, utilities, building systems, and industrial growth.

These roles span maintenance, mechatronics, multi-craft, electro-mechanical, instrumentation, automation, controls, PLC, SCADA, robotics, CNC, industrial maintenance, field service, fleet, diesel, GSE, HVAC, facilities, and electronics — the technical human power that keeps complex systems running and growth on schedule.

That is why we are convening the Kentuckiana Technician Roundtable: an industry-led Technician Economy activation designed to help employers convert technician demand into skilled technician capacity.

This is not a traditional workforce meeting. It is a working session for employers and regional partners ready to build a coordinated action system that makes technician demand visible, aligns community and technical training to real roles, reduces fragmentation across programs and partners, and moves new and incumbent workers into skilled technician jobs with advancement potential.

The Roundtable will focus on what the region needs now: a practical, employer-led system where demand, training capacity, candidate pathways, and hiring outcomes are connected, measurable, and built to scale.

We invite you to join us in shaping the technician infrastructure needed to support one of America’s most important logistics, manufacturing, and industrial corridors.
