Walking Tour: Housing Crisis and Mobility in Barcelona 🏡🚗
What to expect 🏡💚
We're back with our second walking tour with our very own David Bravo, the same architect who spoke at our public housing event and led our first walking tour on gentrification in the city!
Join us for our second tour, this time through Barcelona’s key locations in terms of green urbanism projects! We will talk about how car-driven city planning fuels Barcelona’s housing crisis, gentrification and inequality. While the city is internationally known for its superblocks and pedestrianised streets, a lot of tax money is actually not serving its people but benefiting cars and tourism instead.
Architect David Bravo will show us why we need a walkable, green and social city and how this can be actually achieved. Come walk, observe, and discuss the city we live in!
🚋 To cover a range of locations, we will take a metro and tram along the way, so please bring your transport ticket!
☕️🍺 We will have a quick break along the way and after finishing in Barceloneta, we will have an optional drink to chat and connect afterwards.
🗣️ This event will be held in English.
About this community 📣💚
For rights, against wrongs. We clamour for universal human and environmental rights — and a peaceful, sustainable future for all!
CLAMOUR is a growing community of people who feel that the current system isn’t working and who want to imagine, discuss, and build something better together.
In a world shaped by rising fascism, climate collapse, and growing inequality, many of us feel overwhelmed or powerless. CLAMOUR exists to create space for something different. A space to come together, to learn, listen, share, reflect and organise. We believe that change starts from the roots and that community itself is a form of resistance. ✊
Our community spans generations and backgrounds. Our youngest member is 18, our oldest is 93. We come from many nationalities and cultures, and from a wide range of professional paths including students, journalists, teachers, architects, activists, entrepreneurs, and retirees. This diversity is at the heart of CLAMOUR.
We welcome anyone who feels concerned, curious, exhausted, hopeful or simply wants to connect with others who care about a more just and sustainable future. You don’t need to have answers. You just need to show up as you are.
