With fuseproject now rooted in both San Francisco and Lisbon, and with active collaborations involving Portuguese artisans and sustainable materials, he embodies the cross-Atlantic exchange that RedBridge exists to foster.
Expect sharp insights on building ambitious companies, the role of design in shaping the human experience, sustainability and innovation, and how the entrepreneurial cultures of Lisbon and the Bay Area can amplify each other.
Open to founders, operators, investors, creatives, and changemakers who believe great ideas travel further when cultures and communities connect.
About Yves
Yves Béhar is a Swiss-born industrial designer, entrepreneur, and founder & CEO of fuseproject, the design and innovation studio with offices in San Francisco and Lisbon.
Over more than two decades he has launched 100+ early-stage ventures and created category-defining products for Samsung (The Frame TV), Herman Miller (Sayl chair), Happiest Baby (SNOO), and others, while co-founding companies such as August Home and TELO Trucks and pioneering AI/robotics projects including Moxie and ElliQ.
He is equally known for design as a force for social impact (One Laptop per Child, See Better to Learn Better, The Ocean Cleanup). His work is in the permanent collections of MoMA and SFMOMA; he has received 300+ awards and was named one of TIME’s Top 25 Visionaries and Forbes’ “Most Influential Industrial Designer in the World.”
In recent years Béhar has deepened his ties to Portugal: fuseproject now has a Lisbon presence, and he collaborates with local artisans and material innovators (notably Portuguese cork producers). He divides his time between the Bay Area and Lisbon, embodying the bridge RedBridge was created to strengthen.
