Joseph Peeraer is co-founder and GP of Positron Ventures and founder of Positron FoF. Before that he co-founded and scaled and exited Budget Thuis, a leading Dutch multi-utility (energy and telecoms), which he led until 2020. Positron's Deeptech Fund of Funds backs European VCs that invest in atoms over bits: physics, chemistry, biology. The fund commits €65m to 15–20 managers, including emerging ones, in 2027–2028. It runs alongside Positron Ventures, direct pre-seed fund.
Dr. Carmen Palacios-Berraquero | Co-Founder & CEO, Nu Quantum
An award-winning Cambridge physicist and inventor, Carmen leads Nu Quantum, the world’s foremost distributed quantum computing infrastructure company. Since 2018, she has scaled the team past 70 global experts across the UK, Spain, and the US, recently closing a record-breaking $60M Series A - the largest ever for quantum networking. She also serves as Co-Founder and Director of UKQuantum and is a dedicated advocate for STEM diversity and LGBTQIA+ visibility.
Francesco Perticarari | General Partner, Silicon Roundabout Ventures
A computer scientist turned investor, Francesco built one of Europe’s largest deep tech communities before launching his solo GP pre-seed/seed fund in 2023. Backed by Molten Ventures, Multiple Capital, P101, and unicorn founders, his mission is to build the first truly pan-European, community-driven VC firm built by technical operators for deep tech founders.
Robin Dechant | Partner, General Catalyst
At General Catalyst, Robin drives the firm's resilience thesis in Europe, focused on early stage investing, and works with companies such as ICEYE, Hypersonica and Onodrim. He is curious about technology and how it can solve our biggest problems in the physical world. Beyond seed investing, he is drawn to incubations and other creative strategies to shape industries such as defense, manufacturing, and energy. A founder himself before investing, Robin turned that experience into a passion for backing founders at the earliest stages, which led him to angel investing and then venture.
