BUDS #2! Come build a wild, one-of-a-kind vase arrangement with Megha Torpunuri, founder of Wave Floral, an sf-based floral design studio!
We loved BUDS #1 so much we brought it back, and made it more!! More flowers, more hands-on time with Megha, deeper technique, and a hand-picked vase to house your arrangement long after the night ends.
You'll walk away with:
✦ Your finished floral arrangement with unique florals & greenery in a gorgeous take-home vase
✦ Real techniques + tips using chicken wire, floral tape, and the structural tricks pros use for wild, abstract designs

Megha Torpunuri is a San Francisco–based florist, ex-founder, and software consultant. Through Wave Floral, her work with blooms became the unexpected blueprint for co-founding Whimsy, an AI-native backend for wedding and event professionals, built from firsthand experience inside the chaos and creativity of event work. Currently, she’s automating her floral business's backend so she can spend less time on logistics, and more time with flowers, clients, and long bike rides outdoors where much of her inspiration begins.
Doho is an 885 sq ft event venue by JND Collective in San Mateo, California. Doho is a thoughtfully designed space for intimate gatherings where meaningful connections can flourish. Rooted in the values of joy, intention, and kindness, they believe every celebration, workshop, and shared experience deserves a setting that encourages people to slow down and be fully present.

All guests must be 21+ to register. We'll be taking photos and videos at the event; if you'd prefer not to be photographed, just let us know on arrival.

We're Sama and Jacqueline, two East Bay girls who spent five years in NYC and watched each other come alive in a city where creativity was so accessible. We decided when we came home that we weren't leaving that behind.
Coqtail Hour is the community we wished existed when we got back. Pop-up events in the Bay, after five, for creatively-curious and multidisciplinary humans!

Unfortunately, tickets for this event are non-refundable/exchangeable! Please double check your calendar. 🙏🏼 In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend. Just tell them to use your name for check in!
