β€‹πŸŽ¨ Art Recess: Restorative Playtime for Adults

Most of us spend the day producing things that need to be useful, efficient, or presentable. Art Recess is the opposite of that. It's a small, guided art-making session for adults. It’s a chance to slow down, use your hands, and make something with no agenda. Each session explores a different theme.

No art experience needed. Whether you're a burnt-out professional, curious about making art, or just looking for restorative time, you're welcome here.

Running every Sunday and Wednesday throughout April. Drop in for one session or come back for more.

What to expect

This session's theme is Running on Fumes. You know that feeling when you're running on empty but still somehow running? We're making art about that.

We gather online in a small group, make art together through guided prompts then share what we made with short reflections.

Materials

  • A3 paper

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • Magazines

  • Color tools β€” markers, watercolors, oil pastels, crayons, or colored pencils (whatever you have)

Don't worry about having everything β€” bring whatever art supplies you already have at home. More materials, more play. You'll also receive a materials email after signing up.

What people say

"Although I don't see myself as an artistic person, working with Lira helped me connect with a creative part of me I didn't know existed."

"We didn't have to worry about making it look good. We simply created and that's what I loved the most."

"The workshop was both calming and powerful. I left feeling more connected to myself."

Who's behind this: Lira Ha

After eight years in financial services, Lira navigated burnout and anxiety by turning to artmaking and it became her most effective way back to herself. She's now an illustrator and Creative Health Practitioner who designs guided artmaking experiences for adults. Her sessions are non-clinical and low-pressure, built around the belief that everyone is creative and that making art is one of the most direct ways to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Refund Policy

Sessions require at least 2 registrants to run. If the minimum isn't met, you'll receive a full refund.
