The Jewish Struggle With Perinatal Loss Part I
Registration
About Event
With Chaplain David Balto
Over one in four pregnancies result in loss. While Jewish communities have very strong tools and rituals to deal with loss, generally perinatal loss is lost in a world without support because according to Halacha we do not mourn a child until he or she has lived for 30 days. This talk will provide insight from a recent study of Jewish families suffering perinatal loss and how Jewish communities can adapt to provide greater comfort and compassion.
