DevDays Cancer Care & Prevention Challenge

​In partnership with Ochsner Health, engineering, computer science, and medical students from universities across the state will demo new digital tools that turn fragmented cancer care into clear, connected support for Louisiana patients, caregivers, and care teams.

​Louisiana patients often face a familiar challenge: care, resources, and information exist, but they're scattered across systems, hard to access, and difficult to navigate at the moments that matter most. This challenge asks student teams to build tools that close that gap, helping patients and caregivers see where need, access, and support intersect so that decisions about care are guided by clarity rather than confusion.

​Teams will design solutions ranging from AI-powered patient navigation tools to predictive monitoring, communication platforms, and telehealth and access solutions, all aimed at giving patients and care teams faster, clearer, and more actionable support throughout the cancer journey.
