Everesteer Hedge Fund Homecoming
Everesteer is bringing its Hedge Fund Hackathon home to Budapest, co-hosted with Budapest Investment Club and Day One Capital.
Build quantitative models using frontier AI and compete in accelerated live rounds for a share of a $1,000 prize pool.
Spend the evening building models, submitting predictions and refining your approach as results come in. Follow your model's performance on the leaderboard throughout the competition.
Anyone interested in AI, quantitative modelling, machine learning or finance is welcome.
After New York, London and San Francisco, the challenge returns to Budapest, home of Everesteer's Quant Research office.
Marton Peter Price, Founder of Everesteer & EverestQuant, will also speak during the hackathon.

About Everesteer
Everesteer is an agentic hedge fund platform for users to build strategies in financial markets utilising frontier artificial intelligence models. Participants train models on hedge fund quality financial datasets, submit forecasts across global markets, and are scored on realised outcomes.
The Everesteer platform includes hosted compute, research tooling and a live leaderboard, so participants can go from first idea to scored submission in a single session. Everesteer was founded by the team behind EverestQuant, a London, UK based multi-strategy quant hedge fund with circa $130m of Assets Under Management.
The team combines expertise in quantitative finance, mathematics and machine learning, and works across a London HQ and a Budapest Quant Research office. Our name comes from our founder Marton Peter Price, who is a hobby mountaineer and climbed Mount Everest in 2023.
About Budapest Investment Club
Budapest Investment Club (BIC) is a student organisation at Corvinus University of Budapest focused on capital markets and investing. Its mission is to give students interested in finance the education and network to launch careers in investing. Members complete a four-semester training programme covering fundamental and technical analysis, DCF modelling, derivatives, and portfolio and risk management. They are the first student investment club in the region to manage and trade its own capital.
About Day One Capital
Day One Capital is a Budapest-based early-stage venture capital firm backing B2B software and deep tech founders across Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in 2012, it invests at pre-seed and seed, leading or co-leading rounds with initial checks of €500K to €2.5M, and recently launched a new €45M fund.
