In Depth - Dinner Series - Canada's Global Investment Opportunity (Hosted by Nima Mirpourian & Friends)
Hi, Nima here.
On September 14, Canada will welcome global investors, CEOs and business leaders to Toronto for the first Canada Investment Summit.
Five days earlier, In Depth is bringing together a small group of executives, investors and operators for a different conversation:
What will it take to turn global interest in Canada into lasting investment, stronger companies and meaningful economic growth?
Canada has an ambitious opportunity in front of it. But attracting capital is only part of the equation. We also need to think seriously about where that capital goes, what makes Canada competitive and how the people building and investing here can make the most of this moment.
That's the conversation behind this edition of In Depth.
In Depth is a private dinner series built around small, carefully curated rooms where people can speak candidly about opportunities, challenges and decisions that rarely make it onto a conference stage.
The format is simple:
A three hour, multi-course dinner
12 to 18 carefully selected guests
Three curated table rotations
No panels or pitches
Every seat is there for a reason.
This dinner will explore questions around:
What makes Canada compelling to global capital today, and where does the investment case fall short?
How do we turn foreign investment into stronger Canadian companies and long-term economic value?
Where are the biggest opportunities across technology, AI and Canada's innovation economy?
What needs to happen after the attention surrounding September's Investment Summit moves elsewhere?
The goal isn't to reach consensus.
It's to put people with different perspectives around the same table, surface what they are seeing firsthand, and create relationships that continue beyond the evening.
