Shim Shim Social #2

​So nice, we had to do it twice.

​We’re back for the second Shim Shim Social, a beginner-friendly dance class and social rooted in Habesha culture.

​Led by professional dancer and teacher Tade Barch, the class will introduce core movements, rhythm and shoulder work, exploring eskista and other Ethiopian and Eritrean social dance styles.

​Whether you grew up around the music, feel a little rusty at weddings, or are learning from scratch, everyone is welcome.

​This time we’re keeping it strictly to 20 people so there’s more room to move, and making the second half more of a proper social so you can stay, dance and keep the music going.

​Your ticket includes the dance class and social afterwards, with drinks available from the bar.

​No experience needed. Just come ready to move 🕺🏾
