Quantum Curious? Understanding Quantum Computing Without the Confusion
What Is Quantum Computing? Why It Matters More Than You Think
Date: June 30, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM PST
Hosted by: Global AI Council
Moderator: Kate Hancock & Daniel Robbins
The world is moving faster than ever. Artificial intelligence is transforming industries, but another technological shift is quietly emerging that could redefine cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, communications, and the future of computing itself: Quantum Computing.
Join the Global AI Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing AI literacy and AI safety globally, for a powerful MasterClass designed to make one of the most important technologies of our generation understandable, practical, and relevant.
Quantum computing is no longer science fiction. Governments, researchers, and leading technology companies are investing billions into preparing for a future where quantum systems may solve problems that traditional computers cannot.
But what exactly is quantum computing?
Why are cybersecurity leaders urgently preparing for a post-quantum future?
How could quantum technology impact AI systems, encryption, blockchain, global infrastructure, and security?
And what should entrepreneurs, business leaders, students, developers, and professionals know today to prepare for tomorrow?
This MasterClass will explore:
• What quantum computing actually is — explained in a practical and accessible way
• The difference between classical computing and quantum systems
• Why post-quantum cybersecurity matters
• How AI and quantum technologies intersect
• Quantum risks, opportunities, and emerging security challenges
• The future of cybersecurity in an increasingly AI-driven world
• What leaders and organizations should begin preparing for now
• Real-world implications for businesses, governments, and innovators
