Science to Action: Scaling Climate Solutions for ASEAN Cities

​With the upcoming IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities (SRCities) as well as the progress on the Working Group II report on climate impacts, adaptation and vulnerability, this session aims to discuss how scientific assessments can support decision makers in identifying practical pathways for climate action across ASEAN cities.

​With a presentation by IPCC Working Group 2 Co-Chair, Prof Winston Chow, on global scientific processes, this session hears from practitioners about ways Southeast Asian actors can make sense of upcoming global scientific reports, exchange ideas and ground the conversation in reality. By bringing together regional, and global perspectives, the event will seek to identify priority areas for collaboration and demonstrate how science, partnerships and prctice can accelerate scalable, locally appropriate climate solutions across diverse ASEAN urban contexts.
