​​AI로 임팩트를 만드는 비영리, 어떻게 만들고 어떻게 지원할 것인가

​🌱 이제 많은 비영리 조직이 보고서 작성, 번역, 자료 조사에 AI를 활용하고 있습니다. 하지만 한 걸음 더 나아가 조직이 제공하는 프로그램과 서비스 자체를 AI로 만드는 비영리는 아직 많지 않습니다. 업무를 돕는 도구로 AI를 '활용하는 것'과 AI가 서비스의 핵심이 되어 조직이 AI로 '움직이는 것'은 전혀 다른 일이기 때문입니다.

​이번 특강에서는 이런 조직을 어떻게 잘 만들 수 있는지, 그리고 재단과 펀더는 이들을 어떻게 지원할 수 있는지 살펴봅니다.

​먼저 기술 비영리 액셀러레이터 패스트포워드의 마커스 톰슨이 초기 단계의 AI 기반 비영리가 성장하기 전에 무엇을 증명해야 하는지 이야기합니다. 수백 명의 기술 비영리 창업자를 만나고 액셀러레이터 지원서를 심사해 온 경험을 바탕으로, 창업자가 펀더에게 무엇을 보여주고 펀더는 무엇을 보는지 양쪽의 시선을 함께 전합니다.

​🌱 Many nonprofits use AI to write, translate, and research. Fewer have built AI into the programs and services they deliver. This session looks at how to build those organizations well, and how funders can support them.

​Marcus Thompson of Fast Forward opens with what early-stage AI-powered nonprofits need to show before they grow.

​Then three builders from Fast Forward’s portfolio, SimPPL, SameSame, and Adalat AI, demo their work. Each will dive into the problem, why AI is the right tool, responsible AI decisions, and how funders helped. The session closes with a moderated conversation, followed by live Q&A.

  • ​도움을 청하는 것 자체가 위험할 수 있는 나라의 LGBTQI+ 청소년에게 정체성을 존중하는 안전한 지원을 제공하는 AI 챗봇 세임세임을 공동 창업했습니다. 민관 파트너십을 전문으로 하며, 그가 참여한 프로젝트들은 40여 개국에서 시작되어 5천만 명 이상에게 닿았습니다.

• ​아르갸 바타차리야 | 아달랏 AI 공동창업자 겸 CTO

  • ​인도 전역의 법원이 재판 내용을 기록하고, 지역 언어로 구술을 받아 적고, 밀린 사건을 줄이도록 돕는 플랫폼 아달랏 AI를 공동 창업했습니다. 엔터프렛의 창립 엔지니어였고, 하이데라바드 국제정보기술연구소에서 AI 석사를 받았으며 ACL, EMNLP, CoNLL 등 주요 학회에 연구를 발표했습니다. 2025년 포브스 '아시아 30세 이하 30인' 사회적 임팩트 부문에 선정되었습니다.

  • ​Marcus Thompson is Program Director, Sector Enablement at Fast Forward, the accelerator for tech nonprofits. He has connected with hundreds of builders in this space, reviews Accelerator applications, and is building out resources for the tech nonprofit sector. He also writes the Funding Forward newsletter, so he sees what builders bring to funders and what funders look for.

• ​Dhara Mungra | Co-Founder, SimPPL

  • ​Dhara Mungra co-founded SimPPL, a nonprofit that builds public-interest AI tools to help people trust online information, and leads its engineering. Dhara was previously a Data Scientist III at Bombora and holds an M.S. in Data Science from NYU. Dhara is an inaugural fellow teaching AI and Entrepreneurship at the University of Mannheim Business School and a CAIDP Fellow.

• ​Jono McKay | Co-Founder, SameSame

  • ​Jono McKay is co-founder of SameSame, an AI-powered chatbot that gives LGBTQI+ youth safe, identity-affirming support in countries where seeking help can be dangerous. He specializes in private and public sector partnerships, and projects he has contributed to have launched in more than 40 countries and reached over 50M people.

• ​Arghya Bhattacharya | Co-Founder & CTO, Adalat AI

  • ​Arghya Bhattacharya is co-founder and CTO of Adalat AI, whose platform helps courts across India transcribe hearings, take dictation in local languages, and reduce case backlogs. He was previously a founding engineer at Enterpret and holds a master’s in AI from IIIT Hyderabad, with research published at ACL, EMNLP, and CoNLL. Forbes named him to its 2025 30 Under 30 Asia list for social impact.
