About Ryo's Food Forest Park: Ryo’s Food Forest Park honors the legacy of Ryo Coleman, a beloved mother and gardener whose care for this once-vacant lot helped inspire a shared neighborhood vision for a food forest. Construction began in 2025, following four years of advocacy by the Greater Four Corners Action Coalition, The Washington-Harvard-Norwell Neighborhood Association, and local leaders including Al Courtney, Al Williams, Joyce Harvey, Michael Coleman, Michael Sanders, Mike Brooks, and Sue Campbell. The park will become a place for harvesting, gathering, and healing under the gazebo.
