Chicago-Style Improv: Ocean Week Edition (Pay What You Can)

No audience. No stage. Everybody plays. Even you!
For One Ocean Week Seattle, our Monday jam is diving into the world of oceans and Puget Sound. We’ll use playful prompts about marine life, waterfront communities, ocean inventions, and the unexpected things that happen when people work together. You don’t need to know anything about ocean science. Bring your curiosity; we’ll make the scenes together.
This is a real Chicago-style improv jam. We’ll warm up, break into groups, create scenes, and perform. Learn by doing.
Never done improv? Great. Been performing for years? Even better. All levels are welcome.
Come as early as 3:30 PM to cowork, hang out, or settle in. The doors close at 6 PM, so please arrive before then.
Led by Kelly Kirk, who studied improv at iO, the Annoyance, and Playground Theater in Chicago. Kelly has trained under Charna Halpern, Bill Arnett, and many others. She is a touring improviser, professional actress, jam host, and educator with more than 12 years of experience.
