Central Park Cherry Blossom Stroll & Picnic
Join us for a leisurely cherry blossom stroll through Central Park on Sunday, April 12th. Cherry blossoms mark the early days of spring and new beginnings. Their brief, luminous bloom invites us to pause, breathe, and savor the present moment in good company.
🌸 Central Park Cherry Blossom Stroll & Picnic
📅 Sunday, April 12th
📍 96th Street & Central Park West (Southwest Corner)
🕑 2:00–4:30 PM
🎟️ Cost: Free
🧺 Bring: Food, beverages, and a blanket or towel for the picnic
💛 Hosted by: Jenny Jiang (@collective.ripples)
🌸 About the Walk
We’ll take a relaxed half-loop around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, wander past the Great Lawn, and make our way through Cherry Hill and Pilgrim Hill before settling in for a picnic at Sheep’s Meadow.
The walk is about 3–3.5 miles at an easy, conversational pace. In a city where speed is the default, this is an invitation to take things a little slower, enjoy the landscape, and connect with others in a low-key, no-pressure way. Come solo or with a friend!
🧺 Picnic & DIY Postcard
We’ll end with a casual picnic on the lawn. Bring your favorite snacks and drinks, stretch out, and enjoy the afternoon.
✨ Optional: decorate your own cherry blossom postcards. (All art supplies provided, free of charge.)

ℹ️ Good to Know
Please arrive a little early. We’ll begin walking at 2:05 PM.
If you arrive late and can’t find the group, feel free to enjoy the blossoms at your own pace and meet us at Sheep’s Meadow for the picnic.
Cherry blossoms follow their own timing. While we’re timing this for peak bloom, Mother Nature has her own schedule. Although blooms aren’t guaranteed, we’ll still enjoy a beautiful day of community outdoors.
